In 1907 Count Edouard Riondel gave his
money and his name to a mining camp on Kootenay Lake
and, soon after, a community was established. As time passed, family stories became the oral history of the area and
editor Wendy Scott has recorded those tales in this wonderful collection. They are stories of tradition, heritage and a
bay where a carpet of bluebells has bloomed every spring for a hundred years.
